{babies need so much STUFF}

In just a few short days, the baby countdown will leave triple digit days & enter double digit days.
In all honesty, it's quite frightening.

I haven't been buying much. One reason being I just don't have the money, another being I don't have the space to store it. With that said, we have a pretty good pile of stuff already.

I've picked up some clothes on clearance. (bigger sized stuff, since thats what no one buys at the shower) Also got some gender neutral stuff awhile back from Craigslist. My mom & Emma have picked up stuff here & there, mostly used, but B & I are both VERY OK with used stuff. Emma came home from her dad's house one weekend with a Babies R Us bag with a cute footed outfit, bib & paci's. She's so in love with this kid. Still need plenty, but again, everyone at showers buy clothes, so I'm not worried about that.

I've got about 5 packs of newborn size diapers... but that's it. I keep thinking I'll need at least another pack or 2, but I also kind of think this little guy isn't going to be very little. So I've held off on buying any. (Those diapers came from Craigslist also, 5 unopened packs of 25 for $20)

Other than that... I have some bottles that have come free in the mail. (Playtex giving away samples of the bottles that I prefer + me telling everyone I know to request one = huge blessing) Also a breast milk storage container (also from Craigslist). The plan right now is to breastfeed until I go back to work & then pump from that point on. B bought a baby monitor at a yard sale. (And was so stinkin proud of himself LOL)

As far as big stuff, there's really not much, but what there is I've gotten awesome deals on. (Really, I would love new everything for the guy, but I love a bargain and the wallet requires ones most of the time)

The first purchase I really made was a highchair. Funny since it's one of the things I won't need for a while. I found a Chicco Mamma highchair on Craigslist for the low price of $10.

(Had to find another one for sale online for the image, don't blame me for the quality) From what I can find this retails around $100. It's in excellent condition and comes with an extra padding insert for smaller babies. The cool part is that when I went to pick it up, she handed me a shopping cart cover, for free. This was all before I knew the gender, thankfully it's worked out. :)

Martha called me one day & said the people next to her were having a yard sale and had a swing & walker for $5 each, did I want them? Of course! The swing isn't fancy, or maybe it is, I haven't really messed with it. For $5 though, as long as it swings, I'm good. It doesn't have the toy bar above it on mine. Other than that, nearly new looking.

The walker is Winnie The Pooh, which I overdid with Emma, but again, it's awesome for the price.

My latest purchase, just this morning is my favorite at the moment. A rocking bassinet.

(Another stolen photo, gotta find my camera charger) You can't tell in the photo, but this is just beautiful. The tolie print is classic nursery rhymes. I wasn't planning on a bassinet, they don't seem worth the money for how little time you can use them, but when I saw this for $12 at the thrift store, I was sold. From what I can find online, it retails for about $150. It's in amazing condition. I threw all the washable pieces in the washer & wiped down all the metal parts. I love that it can rock (or lock). I love the storage under it. I love that it's on wheels. I love the shade. I love that it somehow came with two mattress pads, so the padding is extra thick.

I think I'm not only excited about this one because of the price & the beauty of it, but because of the thought of it. Of this little baby finally here and (hopefully) sleeping in it.
