Monday update

Had a very nice weekend. Sat at home, in my PJ's & scrapped most of the weekend. Sunday (Mother's Day), Em & I took a nice nap in the afternoon & met my mom & stepdad for dinner. Came home & did some more scrapping. :)

The cat is settling in. He's very playful, as a kitten should be, but Em gets annoyed with it easily and wants him to leave her alone. Of course, he thinks she's playing & doesn't give up, which causes her to throw a fit. I've tried to explain it to her, but she just pouts & wants me to keep him away from her....until she's ready for him & then she refuses to put him down. He's a good kitty though, been good with eating & using the litter box, which is awesome.

Talked to R last night, that always makes for a good night. I just wish his schedule would get changed already, the patience is wearing thin!

In effort to save money, I cooked dinner at home tonight. I know that eating out all the time is a huge money sucker, so that's the first area I'm trying to work on. Em wanted spaghetti. We had the pasta but no sauce, so after I picked her up from daycare we went to the store & I got sauce & garlic bread. We got home, I started to get the pots & stuff out and the jar of sauce fell off the counter & broke. Ended that plan real fast. I pulled some hotdogs from the fridge. Added baked beans, corn & french fries. The fries wouldn't cook enough (or I wasn't patient enough, highly likely), the hot dogs tasted bad (can hot dogs go bad?) and I burnt my stomach on the cookie sheet that the french fries were on (don't ask how, I don't know)...it's all red & hurts a lot. We both got ice cream sandwiches & called it a night.

I'll try again tomorrow....maybe.

LOL!!! I'm really having fun reading your posts lately.

Congratulations on cooking at home. I'll have to send you some quick easy ideas... that don't require cookie sheets, hot dogs, or glass... LOL!!
